As It Subsides is stories of life put to song. A cross between Damien Rice, Aaron Lewis of the band Staind, and Mike Shinoda. My new album, The Comfort Of Home, features songs that not only cross genres of music, but explore many different states of emotion and life.
I am in a constant battle with myself to become a better person. My music reflects that struggle. In "The Comfort of Home" I speak a great deal about my personal life in the lyrics. You'll hear songs like "Praying for Rain", which is my vow of self acceptance. Songs like "Evilution" reflect on the worlds need for convenience despite how that convenience is killing the world. In the tracks "We're Down" and "Just Begun", you'll also hear about my growth from an ex drug addict, to husband, and now to a father.
It amazing to reflect and see the places we have been, how we got to the point we are now, and then dream about where to go. Good or Bad, there is always change. I fight everyday to continue that change in hopes to continue growth as an individual.
I love hearing life stories from my fans and friends. Not only are you the blood in the veins of my career, you constantly remind me that we all have the strength to pick ourselves up and move forward through the bad moments in our lives. Please share your life and experiences with me. Post a comment to my Blog, join the mailing list, come to a gig, or join me at one of the many social networks that have consumed much of my free time.
Talk with you soon,
Adam
